The welding elbow, also known as a "shrimp bend," is made by welding after cutting and sizing on a pipe or steel plate, and it can be quite large in size. The number of bends and the bending radius are determined freely by the manufacturer. The welding bend is not very smooth, and both have relatively small bending radii, generally about one times the diameter of the pipe.
