The Olympus stereoscopic microscope features a 10-degree convergence angle in the Greenough optical system, ensuring excellent image flatness even at large depths of field. Careful selection of lens surface coatings and glass materials for the overall optical system allows for original and true color observation and specimen recording. The V-shaped light path makes it possible for the slim zoom body—particularly suitable for integration into other devices or for independent use. The compact stereoscopic microscope with high-quality optical components, the SZ61, offers a zoom ratio of 6.7:1, extending the magnification range from 6.7x to 45x (when using a 10x eyepiece) and enables smooth macro to micro zooming, thereby speeding up routine workflows. The SZ51 features a zoom ratio of 5:1, achieving magnifications from 8x to 40x (when using a 10x eyepiece). Viewing at an appropriate inward angle combines high flatness with a depth of field suitable for 3D observation. Even thick specimens can be focused from top to bottom, facilitating faster inspection. The SZ61 and SZ51 zoom bodies offer two different magnifications, with each body featuring an ergonomic design with a standard 45-degree inclined tube. For special applications requiring the zoom body to be tilted for use with other equipment mounted on a common stand, an optional model with a 60-degree inclined tube is available. Additionally, a trinocular tube model with quick installation for digital cameras is available for ease of recording.
