Seamless steel pipes are widely used.
1General-purpose seamless steel tubes are manufactured from ordinary carbon structural steel, low-alloy structural steel, or alloy structural steel, with high production volume. They are primarily used as pipes for conveying fluids or structural components.
2Supplied in three categories based on different applications:
aSupplied by chemical composition and mechanical properties.
bSupplied according to mechanical properties;
cSupplied for hydrostatic testing.a、bSteel pipes of similar types, used to withstand liquid pressure, must also undergo hydrostatic testing.
3Special-purpose seamless pipes include boiler pipes, chemical and power industry pipes, geological seamless steel pipes, and oilfield seamless pipes, among others.
Seamless steel tubes feature hollow cross-sections and are extensively used as pipelines for conveying fluids, such as oil, natural gas, coal gas, water, and certain solid materials. Compared to solid steel materials like round bars, they are lighter in weight while maintaining the same bending and torsional strength, making them an economical section steel.
Extensively used in manufacturing structural components and mechanical parts, such as oil drill pipes, automotive drive shafts, bicycle frames, and steel scaffolding for construction, manufacturing circular parts from steel pipes can enhance material utilization, simplify manufacturing processes, save materials, and labor hours. Steel pipes are widely used for this purpose.
