The sonic probe is not only used as a detection channel and to replace part of the steel reinforcement section, but also as a pipeline for grouting at the pile bottom. Tests have proven that piles grouted at the bottom can significantly increase their bearing capacity. Additionally, the sonic probe can serve as a pipeline for cleaning and grouting treatment of accident piles, where measures must be taken to penetrate the pipeline at the grouting defect areas.

Ultrasonic transmission method testing requires the following for the overall sound measuring tube: secure and non-detachable joints, sealed without leakage; smooth and flat tube walls without bends; even and undistorted; vertically aligned without tilting; and unobstructed with no foreign objects inside.

Poor material quality or installation process for the sound testing tube may lead to accidents such as leakage, pipeline blockage, breakage, bending, sinking, and deformation, significantly affecting the integrity inspection of pile foundations using the ultrasonic transmission method, and may even prevent the ultrasonic transmission method from being performed.
