Acoustic survey pipes, in addition to serving as detection channels and replacing part of the steel reinforcement cross-section, can also be used as pipes for grouting at the pile bottom. Tests have proven that piles treated with grouting at the pile bottom can significantly enhance their bearing capacity. Furthermore, the acoustic survey pipes can also serve as conduits for cleaning and grouting treatment of accident piles, at which point measures must be taken to penetrate the pipes at the grouting defect locations.

Ultrasonic transmission method testing requires the following for the overall sound testing tube: firm joints that do not come loose, sealed without leakage; smooth, undamaged tube walls; even, no deformation; vertical tube body without tilt; and clear interior without foreign objects.

When the material or installation process of the acoustic logging tube is poor, it may lead to accidents such as leakage, pipe blockage, breakage, bending, sinking, and deformation, which greatly affects the integrity test of pile foundations using the ultrasonic pulse-echo method, and may even prevent the detection from being performed.
