Usage Instructions

Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) is a mandatory test item in surface water, industrial wastewater, and domestic sewage. It is a critical indicator reflecting the pollution status of oxygen-consuming substances in water quality and is one of the key indicators for implementing total discharge control. The "Determination of Chemical Oxygen Demand in Water Quality—Cr(VI) Method" (HJ828-2017) is currently recognized as a relatively accurate and reliable testing method. However, the reflux digestion process of water samples is a stringent process that requires precise control of temperature and time; failure to do so can lead to deviations in the analysis results.

Our company has extensively gathered feedback from users and developed this instrument in accordance with the HJ828-2017 method. It replaces high-power electric heaters with temperature-controlled electric heaters and uses automatic circulating water cooling instead of tap water cooling. Features such as automatic temperature control, a 120-minute countdown in micro-boiling state, and automatic shutdown upon digestion completion have been implemented, aligning the operational method with national standards. One-touch operation, automatic digestion, energy-saving, and low consumption, simple operation, and convenience are provided, while also avoiding technical disputes that may arise from measuring COD using non-standard methods.
