The 6S shaker's ore dressing process is conducted on an inclined bed with a reciprocating motion. Ore particles are fed into the bed from the feed hopper at the top of the bed, while a horizontal flushing water is supplied from the water supply channel. Under the influence of gravity, the force of the horizontal water flow, the inertia of the reciprocating, asymmetric motion of the bed surface, and the frictional force, the particles are separated according to their specific gravity and particle size, and move longitudinally along the bed surface and laterally along the inclined bed surface. Consequently, particles of different specific gravity and particle size gradually flow down in a fan shape from the A side to the B side, respectively discharged from different zones at the concentrate end and tailings side, and are subsequently divided into concentrate, middlings, and tailings.
