Operation Instructions for the Automatic Ore Unloading and Mercury Mixing Machine:

First, add mercury. The raw materials enter the automatic ore unloading and amalgamation machine's amalgamation cylinder through the feed port pipeline. The gold single crystals are dissociated through the rotation of the amalgamation cylinder and the grinding by steel balls. The gold-mercury alloy has a higher specific gravity than water and sinks below it, while other substances have a lower specific gravity than mercury and are discharged through the waste material chute via the pipeline. Continuous 24-hour automatic ore unloading is possible.

Operation and Usage of Mercury Vaporizers:

Open the lid of the mercury still, add water to talcum powder (alternatively, you can use chalk powder, graphite powder, iron oxide powder, etc.), stir it into a paste, and evenly apply it to the inner wall and bottom to prevent the distillation residue from sticking to the inner surface.

2. Place the pure hard mercury paste after pressure filter washing into the mercury still, controlling the thickness of the mercury paste layer to be between 40 to 50mm; excessive thickness may lead to incomplete mercury distillation, and prevent mercury paste from boiling and causing gold splashing into the outlet pipe.

3. Close and tighten the lid of the mercury vaporizer, place it on the furnace, connect the water pipe, insert the outlet of the exhaust pipe into a basin, and prepare for mercury distillation.

4. Ignite the furnace, adjust to a low flame for slow heating, and remember not to heat rapidly. (The decomposition temperature of the mercury-gold solid solution in hard mercury paste is close to the boiling point of mercury. Rapid heating can cause the mercury-gold solid solution in the hard mercury paste to sublime and vaporize directly without decomposing, leading to violent boiling and splashing.)

After approximately 30 to 50 minutes, adjust the furnace to medium heat. The mercury inside the steam distillation unit vaporizes into mercury vapor due to the high temperature, which then escapes from the tank into the exhaust pipe. As the mercury vapor passes through the water jacket of the exhaust pipe, it condenses into liquid mercury due to the circulating cooling water, and collects in the cold water basin.

6. For late-stage mercury distillation (where there is no obvious mercury liquid discharge from the outlet pipe), adjust the furnace to high flame and continue to distill mercury for 30 minutes to ensure complete distillation of residual mercury in the mercury paste.

7. Elevate the outlet of the mercury vaporizer's exhaust pipe above the water level in the basin, shut down the combustion furnace, open the mercury vaporizer's pressure relief valve to maintain pressure balance inside and outside the unit, to prevent any hazardous conditions. (The balanced pressure inside the mercury vaporizer will become negative as the temperature drops; the exhaust pipe inserted into the cold water basin could draw cold water back into the vaporizer, posing an explosion risk.)

8. Remove and collect the mercury liquid from the water basin and reuse it in the amalgamation mill and amalgamation plate. (If the mercury liquid becomes dirty or its color turns dark, losing its metallic luster, it can be washed with a solution of 5 ~ 10% dilute nitric acid or dilute hydrochloric acid.)

9. After the mercury vaporizer has completely cooled, open the top cover of the vaporizer and remove the sponge gold.
