Transformers are critical control devices in electrical engineering, utilizing transformer oil within them. There are several grades of transformer oil. Can oils of different grades be mixed?
Transformer oil of different brands is generally not recommended to be mixed. Using oil of the same brand ensures the quality of the original operating oil and clearly defines the characteristics of the brand. Since transformer oil is typically selected based on the type of equipment and the ambient temperature, choosing the same brand guarantees that its operational characteristics remain largely unchanged, and maintains the uniformity of the oil used in the technical records of the equipment.
Can mechanical oil be used as a substitute for transformer oil when there is none available? The specifications of No. 10 mechanical oil are somewhat similar to those of No. 10 transformer oil, but due to the less refined processing of mechanical oil, it lacks good insulating and oxidation stability. Therefore, mechanical oil or other substandard oils should not be used as transformer oil. If mechanical oil is mistakenly used as transformer oil, it may cause electrical equipment accidents during use, damaging the equipment, affecting normal operations, and possibly leading to personal injuries. Although it may not be discovered in the short term, as the equipment operates longer, the issues will become more apparent. Hence, caution should not be taken lightly during use.
Cautionary Note:
The machine tool should have a complete filtration and slag removal system to timely clear metal shavings, floating oil, and other impurities. If the machine tool is not in use for multiple days, it should be cleaned for at least 2 hours per day.
Pump circulation is being conducted for aeration.
The centralized liquid supply central cooling system requires a detailed operational procedure, with designated personnel responsible for maintenance, operation, and management.
Do not mix with other brand cutting fluids.
Storage and Packaging
This product should be stored in a dry, cool, well-ventilated warehouse, avoiding direct sunlight and rain during transportation and storage. The storage temperature should be between 5~35°C.
◇ Should the product undergo a change in condition due to improper storage, after restoring to the specified storage temperature, mix it uniformly and then dilute to prepare the working solution; this will not affect the processing properties.
The product is functioning normally.
Under normal storage conditions, the product has a shelf life of 1 year.
