What's the difference between CKC and CKD, and how can you tell them apart when their product viscosity is quite similar?

CKC is a medium-duty gear oil, while CKD is a heavy-duty gear oil. Generally, CKC is primarily used for closed positive and helical gears under extremely demanding operating conditions, as well as for bearings and couplings, turbine gear drives, reducers, and other applications requiring extreme pressure and wear resistance. CKD heavy-duty gear oil, on the other hand, is mainly used for industrial closed helical and spur gears, heavily loaded bearings and gear couplings, worm gears, and other gear components in very harsh conditions (high loads, high or low temperatures). The viscosity can be further differentiated based on the power and load of the gear equipment.
