Heat treatment processing for 17-4PH:
1. Hot forming
Hot forming should be conducted within a temperature range of 950-1200°C (1742-2192°F). Complete heat treatment includes solution annealing, cooling (below 25°C), and aging (at a specified temperature).
2. Cold Forming
Cold forming is only possible on sheet materials in a soft state, with strict conditions. Post cold working, the ability to resist stress corrosion can be enhanced by secondary aging at quenching and hardening temperatures.
