15-5PH mechanical properties:
Excellent mechanical properties of 15-5PH stainless steel at room temperature: tensile strength 990-1300MPa, yield strength 750-110MPa, elongation 10%,断面收缩率 40%.

15-5PH Physical Properties:
Melting temperature of 15-5ph material: 1440°C, specific heat capacity: 502 J/(kg/°C), density: 7.78 kg/m³.

15-5 PH heat treatment solution aging tempering annealing process:
Heat treatment temperature: 1180°C, starting temperature: 1150°C, finishing temperature: 1040°C, air-cooled or medium sand cooled.
The solid solution temperature is held at 1040℃ for 2 hours, oil quenched with hardness ranging from 28-30HRC, and water quenched with hardness from 32-35HRC. At this point, the 15-5PH microstructure is low-carbon martensite, which is suitable for cutting operations at this hardness level.
High-temperature tempering temperature: 750°C, cooled in furnace or air, hardness: 28-32HRC.
Annealing temperature: 830°C. Air-cooled after furnace cooling to below 500°C, hardness 28-30HRC. Heat treated at 480°C for 4 hours, resulting in hardness of 40HRC.

15-5ph Application:
15-5PH stainless steel is suitable for offshore platforms; food industry; pulp and papermaking; aerospace (turbine blades); mechanical components. It also boasts excellent mechanical and corrosion-resistant properties, and is widely used in the petrochemical, nuclear power, aerospace, shipbuilding, automotive, and other industries.
