At 700℃ high temperatures, 15-5PH should be adequate, as it is both austenitic stainless steel and a widely used austenitic heat-resistant steel. However, do not exceed 750℃, as its heat treatment is solid solution treatment, involving heating to above 1000℃, holding for a certain period, and then water quenching. Additionally, aging at temperatures 60~100℃ higher than the service temperature is recommended.
Weldability of 15-5PH stainless steel:
Weldable by any method in the solution, aging, or overaging states without preheating before welding. If the weld joint strength is required to approach the strength of the steel after aging hardening, re-solution and aging treatment must be performed after welding. The steel is also suitable for brazing, with the brazing temperature being the solution treatment temperature.
