Super stainless steel is characterized by high Cr and high Ni (or high Mo). The Cr or Ni content is generally between 18~26%, with Mo content reaching 4~8%, and the Pitting Resistance Equivalent (PREN) greater than 40 (even greater than 42). This super stainless steel with a PREN greater than 42 is also known as the "return 6Mo" type stainless steel.
