253MA Stainless Steel In Stock | Manufacturer Direct 253MA
Shanghai Gushuo supplies stainless steel 253MA, a rare austenitic heat-resistant alloy with high strength and excellent oxidation resistance. 253MA maintains its heat-resistant properties through the use of advanced controlled microalloying additives. The combination of rare earth metals with silicon provides superior oxidation resistance up to 2000°F. The dispersion of nitrogen, carbon, and rare earth and alkali metal oxides offers creep-rupture strength comparable to nickel-based alloys. Common applications of 253MA include various components requiring high strength at high temperatures, such as heat exchangers, furnaces, stack dampers, and oven components.
253MA stainless steel processing:
Heat Treatment
The 253ma solution heat treatment specification is: hold at 1050~1150℃ for 5~20 minutes, then air cool or water quench. The common solution heat treatment temperature for thick plates is 1070~1100℃.
Forming
Steel plate forming should be carried out at room temperature as much as possible. If hot bending is required, the entire cross-section of the workpiece should be uniformly heated to 1100°C, and the final forming temperature should be above 900°C.
Welding
The 253ma is suitable for all common welding methods. No pre-weld heat treatment or post-weld heat treatment is required. The interlayer temperature should be kept at a low level to prevent the formation of hot cracks.
Application Range of 253ma:
253ma is widely used in sintering equipment, blast furnace equipment, steel melting, furnace and continuous casting equipment, rolling mills (heating furnaces), heat treatment furnaces and accessories, mineral equipment, and cement production equipment. 253ma steel can be used in pressure-bearing applications up to 900°C and in non-pressure high-temperature components with working temperatures up to 1150°C.
