It is a solid solution strengthened nickel-based deformed high-temperature alloy primarily reinforced with molybdenum and niobium. It operates at temperatures up to 950°C, exhibiting excellent tensile and fatigue properties from low to 980°C. It also boasts good machinability and weldability. The alloy has excellent corrosion and oxidation resistance, as well as stress corrosion resistance in salt mist environments. Microstructure of Inconel 625:
625 has a face-centered cubic crystal structure. After being held at about 650℃ for a sufficient duration, carbon particles and unstable tetragonal phases will precipitate, transforming into a stable Ni3(NbTi) rhombohedral phase. Post solid solution strengthening, the molybdenum and niobium contents in the nickel-chromium matrix will enhance the material's mechanical properties, although plasticity will be somewhat reduced.
