During construction, if encountering any of the following special circumstances, remain calm and take the corresponding emergency measures.
Power outage occurs suddenly during construction
In the event of a sudden power outage during construction, immediately switch off the power box to prevent accidents upon reconnection. Only reconnect the power after receiving an electricity supply notice and ensure everything is normal before commencing work.
In the event of a power outage and a return to ground level is required, simultaneously pull the manual descent handles on both ends of the lifting motor to allow the suspended platform to freely descend to the ground.
2. The suspended platform cannot be stopped during the lifting and lowering process.
In the event that the suspended platform fails to stop even after the button is released during its lifting or lowering process, immediately press the red emergency stop switch on the electrical box door to immediately halt the suspended platform. Then, turn off the power switch of the electrical box, inspect the contactor's contact condition, clean the oil and dirt adhered to the contactor surface. After manually pressing the contactor to restore normal operation, turn on the power switch, rotate the emergency stop switch back to its original position, and continue working. If the fault cannot be resolved, turn off the power switch and use the manual lowering method to lower the suspended platform to the ground for inspection.
3. The safety lock operates without manual intervention.
Its function is to automatically lock onto the safety steel wire rope when the lifting system malfunctions and causes the basket to descend at an excessive speed, halting the descent to ensure the safety of both personnel and machinery. Upon troubleshooting and the need to reset the safety lock, the basket should first be manually raised to slightly loosen the lock, allowing the handle to be turned to open the safety lock. It is strictly prohibited to force the handle to open the lock while the safety steel wire rope is taut, as this may damage the safety lock. Do not start the machine's descent after the safety lock is closed, as this can easily lead to widespread damage to the lifting mechanism.
4. The work wire rope became stuck inside the hoist.
When a work wire rope gets stuck inside the hoist, the machine should be immediately stopped. It is strictly prohibited to repeatedly lift and lower the wire rope to force it loose. Ensure safety before evacuating the construction personnel from the suspended platform and deploying professionally trained maintenance personnel to enter the platform for repairs. First, wrap the safety wire rope around both ends of the hoist mounting brackets and secure the ends with a rope knot. Then, release the protective rings of the two safety lock pendulum arm rollers (refer to Figure 5), disconnect the work wire rope from the rollers, and position the safety locks to lock the rope. After implementing these safety measures, remove the hoist for inspection and remove the stuck wire rope. If necessary, cut the faulty wire rope and open the hoist housing cover to inspect, and carefully remove the wire rope left inside the hoist. Simultaneously, replace the wire rope at the corresponding position of the suspension mechanism, re-lower and thread it back into the hoist until it is tensioned. Then, insert the work wire rope into the safety lock pendulum arm roller slot, install the protective ring, and after the safety lock is engaged, lift the suspended platform by about 0.5 meters and stop. Remove the rope knots from the safety wire rope and lower it to a hanging position, then lower the suspended platform to the ground. After rigorous inspection and maintenance through the hoist, it is permitted to continue use.
5. Wire rope failure during work
When the working steel wire rope at one end of the suspended platform breaks, the platform tilts. Once it reaches a certain tilt position, the safety lock automatically closes, locking the suspended platform to the safety steel wire rope. At this point, the construction personnel inside the suspended platform should remain calm, strictly prohibit running and jumping inside the suspension, and handle the emergency measures as if the working steel wire rope is jammed inside the hoist.
