Sintered Filter Core Manufacturer Discusses Sintered Filter Core Classification and Working Principle
How Sintered Filter Cartridges are Categorized and How They Work
One, categorized by material, there are metal sintered filter cores and non-metal sintered filter cores. Metal sintered filter cores primarily consist of sintered mesh and felt cores made from stainless steel series materials. Additionally, there are special metal-made titanium rod sintered cores, Monel sintered cores, and more. Non-metal sintered filter cores include activated carbon sintered cores made from activated carbon material; powder sintered cores and copper powder sintered cores made from metal powder; and PE sintered cores made from high polymers.
Two, categorized by function, there are surface filtration sintered cores and deep filtration sintered cores. Sintered mesh cores are examples of surface filtration sintered cores. Generally, surface filtration cores are made of sintered mesh due to its surface filtration properties. On the other hand, sintered cores made of materials such as powders, felts, fibers, particles, or granules are considered deep filtration sintered cores. Examples include copper powder sintered cores, activated carbon sintered cores, and sintered felt cores, etc.
Sintering, in a literal sense, is the process of recondensing a metallic substance into a high-purity metal through burning and calcination.
It is well-known that in nature, there is no single element; instead, compounds are composed of various elements. For instance, iron, an essential element in industry, exists in nature as Fe3O4 and Fe2O3. With the advent and rapid development of the industrial age, there has been a decline in the availability of rich ores that can be directly smelted. As a result, people are forced to collect poor ores, and directly smelting these poor ores in blast furnaces is highly uneconomical. Therefore, the poor ores are crushed and ground to select suitable ones. The ore powder's grade is then enhanced, and it is reintroduced into sintering furnaces to form sintered ore or pelletized ore. In other words, sintering is a purification process, reconstituting the unsuitable poor ore into suitable rich ore for production.
Above is the information about the classification and working principle of sintered filter cores introduced by the editor of the PE sintered filter core manufacturer. If you have any further questions, feel free to consult our website, where our technical staff will explain to you.
