How to Install Seismic Bracing

1Seismic brackets are installed on columns. Methods for fixing brackets on columns include pre-buried steel plate connection, pre-buried bolt method, and column-hugging construction, etc. When installing seismic brackets, we should first locate the installation position of the hanger based on the central line. For single rod hangers, they are installed directly on the central line. For double rod hangers, they can be installed symmetrically along the central line. Then, according to the spacing requirements of the seismic brackets, the specific installation positions of the hangers can be marked. Next, based on the elevation, the height of the hanger installation is determined. When dealing with longer spans requiring many brackets, install the end hangers first, then use the string line method to determine the elevation of the intermediate brackets for installation.

2The installation of seismic brackets on walls commonly employs brackets for support along the wall. During bracket installation, circular elevations are based on the axis elevation, while rectangular elevations are based on the bottom of the pipe elevation. Draw the position lines on the top surface of the bracket beam according to the elevation, then determine the specific location of the bracket based on the spacing requirements. Next, securely fasten the bracket to the wall. Methods of fixation can include pre-bolting, embedding, expansion bolts, and nail gun methods, with specific construction techniques varying depending on the installation of pipe brackets.

3When installing seismic support tips, it is advisable to pre-assemble the riser and branch pipes into sections on the ground. According to the hoisting conditions and connection status, each section of the straight pipe should be approximately:10mEnsure that washers are inserted between flanges, and the bolts and nuts connecting the flanges should be on the same side. Before installation, check the stability and accuracy of the supports and hangers. During高空 work, the rope used for hoisting should be securely tied. It can only be released after it is securely connected to the accessories, leveled and fixed with brackets. Vertical installation can be done by hoisting and connecting section by section from bottom to top. After installation, use a plumb bob to align it.
