Many may not be fully aware of what soft water is. Essentially, after removing calcium and magnesium ions from raw water, the water becomes soft. In simple terms, the working principle of a water softener is to remove these calcium and magnesium ions from the water. Since the water softener contains resin, as the raw water passes through it, the calcium and magnesium ions are exchanged and adsorbed onto the resin inside the water softener. Without these ions, the separated water naturally becomes soft water.
