Building Facade Safety Inspection
Continuous incidents of curtain wall hazards have occurred; to enhance prevention, reduce damage, and ensure urban safety, users should regularly inspect and test their safety.
A building curtain wall is a perimeter protective system composed of panels and supporting structures, which has a certain degree of displacement capability relative to the main structure. In addition to transmitting its own loads to the main structure, it does not bear the loads exerted on the main structure.
Building facade inspection and evaluation should be conducted according to the following procedures:
1. Commission
2. Inquiry
3. Develop inspection and testing plans
4. Inspection and Testing
5. Calculation and Analysis
6. Inspection and Evaluation Report
The principal shall provide technical documentation for engineering design, construction, and usage, and determine the content of the inspection and assessment with the inspection party. When commissioning an inspection and assessment, drafting, and negotiating the inspection and testing plan, it should be clarified that the principal and the inspection party are responsible for their respective responsibilities and risks.
The survey should include the following tasks:
1. Project Overview: Includes the start and completion time, engineering structure, construction unit, design unit, construction unit, supervision unit, etc.
2. Technical Documents: Including completion drawings for curtain wall projects, structural calculation books, design change records, etc.
3. Construction Quality Assurance Documents: Including completion reports, concealed work acceptance records, construction quality inspection records, material quality assurance certificates, material retest reports, etc.
4. Building Facade Usage Records: Includes routine maintenance and repairs, condition logs, renovation completion technical documents, etc.
5. On-site adjustments include: verifying physical items against documentation, investigating the actual internal and external environment of the building, identifying existing issues, and collecting opinions from relevant personnel.
Based on the various documents and investigation information provided by the client, determine the key items for inspection and testing. Develop the inspection and testing evaluation plan, which should include the content, methods, and progress of the inspections and tests.
Building Facade Inspection and Testing Services:
1. Initial Inspection: Quality of facade system, construction, main joints, and opening sash installation.
2. Current Status Inspection: Panel and connection component damage, rust, deformation, and extent of hardware failure.
3. Material Inspections: Panels, metal profiles, silicone structural sealant, stone adhesive, sealing materials, fireproof and thermal insulation materials, hardware components, embedded parts, and retrofitted anchors, etc.
4. Structural and Construction Inspection: Load-bearing members and construction, panel assembly components, etc.
5. Structural Load-Bearing Verification: Verification of loads acting on the container wall, their effects, and node verification, etc.
