4a Molecular Sieve Performance
4a molecular sieve is a powdered crystal with metallic luster, hardness of 3-5, and relative density of 2-2.8. Natural zeolite has color, while synthetic zeolite is white. It is insoluble in water and its thermal stability and acid resistance increase with the increase of the SiO2/Al2O3 composition ratio. Molecular sieve has a large specific surface area, reaching 300-1000 m2/g, with highly polarized inner crystal surfaces, making it an excellent adsorbent and a type of solid acid with high acid concentration and strength on the surface, capable of initiating cationic catalytic reactions. By exchanging metal ions in the composition with other ions in the solution, the pore size can be adjusted, changing its adsorption and catalytic properties, thereby producing molecular sieve catalysts with different performance.
