Application Conditions for Different New Energy Battery Mica Tapes

The mica tape for new energy battery is a strip of insulating material made by using mica paper, alkali-free glass cloth, or film as raw materials, enhanced with various adhesives, and then baked, coiled, and cut. It is suitable for the main insulation of large and medium-sized motors and electrical coils of different heat resistance grades. The performance may vary depending on the actual working condition of the mica tape.

Different mica adhesive tape for various new energy battery applications

1. Mica tape for high-voltage motors is suitable for vacuum pressure impregnation (VPI) with high mica content and low resin content, as well as medium-voltage mica tape. It can be used as the primary insulation for high-voltage motors, offering excellent electrical and mechanical properties; meeting the requirements for motors to develop towards higher voltage and larger capacity.

2. The process system of low-viscosity new energy battery mica tape is fundamentally different from multi-tape, utilizing the vacuum pressure impregnation (VPI) process. This is an advanced insulation technology characterized by high mica content, excellent electrical properties, long insulation life, good overall integrity, excellent heat and aging resistance, thin insulation thickness, good thermal conductivity, and the ability to effectively reduce motor temperature rise. It also boasts a simple process and a short production cycle.

3. The impact of adhesive on the insulation performance of coils primarily includes two aspects: first, the content of the adhesive, generally the less, the better; second, the properties of the adhesive itself. High-quality mica tape manufacturers use adhesives that not only meet the bonding performance of mica tape but also possess very low dielectric loss values at high temperatures, while ensuring good compatibility between the mica tape and the impregnating resin.

4. Mica tape for wind power generation, based on mica paper, is coated with both sides or one side of电工alkali-free glass fabric and polyester film, polyimide film, or electrically resistant film, reinforced with heat-resistant epoxy adhesive or other heat-resistant resins. It is suitable for large and medium-sized wind turbine generators.

5. The Pyrolytic Imide Film Powder is a strip-shaped insulating material made by bonding mica paper and Pyrolytic Imide Film with heat-resistant epoxy adhesive, baking, and winding. The mica tape exhibits excellent flexibility under normal conditions, and after the varnish around the coil solidifies, it boasts superior dielectric properties and high mechanical strength. It is suitable for the main insulation of traction motors operating at temperatures of 180-200°C and for insulation in various electrical appliances.

6. The water and electricity usage is a strip-shaped insulating material made from powdered mica paper as the base material, reinforced with both sides of alkali-free glass cloth for electrical purposes, and bonded together using an epoxy resin adhesive. It remains flexible in its normal state. After the motor coil is shaped, it exhibits excellent electrical and mechanical strength. It is suitable for the molding of hydraulic insulation for turbine generators and high-voltage motor coils, with an operating temperature of 155°C.

7. The塑free new energy battery mica tape maintains sufficient flexibility at room temperature, which is conducive to wrapping coils. Its excellent breathability benefits the insulation layer during the impregnation process with air and volatile VPI. The extraction of materials and resin penetration ensure the overall performance of the coil.
