Charcoal Briquets, also known as processed charcoal, firewood sticks, artificial charcoal, recycled charcoal, and smokeless clean charcoal, are made by high-temperature pressing of wood chips. They have high density and a hard texture, making them less prone to breakage. Their main advantages include ease of transportation, smokeless and non-toxic combustion, long burn time, and no cracking. The main drawback is their difficulty in ignition and the abundance of ash produced after combustion.

Charcoal is made from raw wood through carbonization, with its main advantages being its ease of ignition, high combustion intensity, and high temperature, as well as minimal ash after burning. Its main disadvantages include the possibility of incomplete burning, which can result in some smoke. It is not made from hard shrubs; instead, the charcoal has a crumbly texture with a lot of air inside, causing it to crack during combustion and be easily crushed during transportation.

In recent years, the barbecue charcoal produced by our company is made from pure charcoal powder, mixed with cinder powder, coal powder, and binder. By utilizing waste materials such as sawdust, wood chips, shavings, and splinters, the manufacturing cost is low and wood usage is conserved. The charcoal is easy to ignite, heats up quickly, produces a high flame, and offers a large heat output. It does not require a puffer, produces minimal ash, and has a long burn time.

However, currently, barbecue charcoal manufactured domestically using binders is prone to breakage during transportation and handling due to its low cold and heat strength. Poor waterproofing results in the charcoal losing strength when exposed to water or soaked, posing difficulties for storage and transportation. Additionally, the use of resins like polyethylene glycol in the binders raises the cost of the charcoal, impacting the company's economic benefits and making it challenging to promote in both residential and industrial applications.

A high-strength, low-cost, waterproof, odorless new barbecue charcoal binder is a solid high-performance barbecue charcoal binder. The barbecue charcoal made from it is not only cost-effective and has excellent waterproof performance, but also high strength and leaves no pollution during use. The shocking results from authoritative testing have shown:

 Excellent waterproof performance.Maintains its original shape without dispersing after soaking in water for several days; wet-state strength reaches 440-600N per piece (measured after soaking in water for two hours).

 High compressive strength.Compressive strength: 720N to 1000N per piece, drop resistance: 90-96%. Dense texture, emits a crisp sound when gently tapped; does not disperse or collapse when burned.

 3. High product performance.Low ash content and high combustion resistance, the barbecue charcoal produced from high-quality raw materials generally has a heat output greater than 7,000 BTUs, with ash content less than 4% and fixed carbon content over 80%.

 4. Long-lasting burn time.Flammable, burns smoothly without sparks or flames. Depending on the quality of the raw materials, the burning time can last from 2 to 4 hours, and it emits a fragrant aroma during combustion.

  6. High economic returns.The charcoal produced by this technology typically costs between 150-220 yuan per ton, whereas the cost for producing charcoal with existing binders is as high as 350-500 yuan per ton. This means an additional profit of 200-300 yuan per ton of charcoal.

The product of this technology is achieved by using biomass charcoal powder as the raw material, adding binder and sulfur fixative, followed by mixing, kneading, cold pressing into shape, and then naturally drying or oven drying to obtain the final product.
