How many meters can a ton of sealant fill?
Joint sealant is a product that is shipped in a solid form but requires to be 'melted' through a thermal fusion process during construction. The change in form should not have a specific concept.
To better utilize cold patching materials and ensure optimal adhesion with the original pavement, the following issues should be taken into account when applying cold patching materials:
1. When repairing the foundation pit with cold patching material, the water should be thoroughly cleaned. Water damage is an outstanding and severe disease of asphalt pavements.
2. After cold patching material is applied to road surfaces, the moisture in the original asphalt is broken down again, preventing water damage. Appropriate cold patching materials should be selected during the cold patching process. When used properly, the maintenance time for the repaired area can be extended slightly, providing initial strength to withstand traffic.
3. The principle for cold patch grading is to be as close as possible to the original subgrade; the recycling and utilization of cold patch materials are in line with local environmental standards, conserve resources, and are beneficial to environmental protection.
Construction process as follows:
Identify repair zones: Classify the pits according to relevant technical specifications and determine the repair areas.
2. Grooving: Use a grooving machine to cut grooves into a rectangular shape.
3. Clearing the pit: Remove gravel and debris from within and around the pit, ensuring the pit structure is well-integrated and the new materials bond effectively with the pit.
4.定位 Layer: Apply or spray emulsified asphalt at the bottom of the pit and around it.
5. Filling Material: Pour the sealant into the pothole and level it manually.
6. Compaction: Use a roller press or roller compactor to compact the repaired parts from front to back.
7. Zhoufu and Surrounding Areas.
As environmental issues become increasingly severe, supervision over these issues is also getting stricter.
The road surface is flattened and reinforced to form a tight and even reinforcement layer. Flat-tamp soil, installed on loaders or excavators, is used to reinforce or compact the narrow work area. The subgrade and joints at the old roadbed are filled and excavated, followed by compaction.
