Designing the drying process for each drying equipment requires a substantial amount of drying process parameters, such as material characteristics, drying kinetics data, and relevant coefficients of heat transfer during the drying process. The reason we need to conduct drying tests is that, in most cases, these process parameters are not visible to the naked eye, nor can they be estimated or analyzed—these can only be obtained after the drying test.
And the drying test serves far more than just determining these process parameters; it also has other functions.
1. Conducting a drying test can help us select the appropriate drying equipment.
When designing drying equipment, the necessary accurate data can be determined through drying tests.
3. The effectiveness and processing capacity of the existing drying equipment can be verified through drying tests.
4. It can also assist in investigating operational conditions to prevent any impact on product characteristics and quality.
In the R&D department, the drying test aids in studying the drying mechanism, benefiting the improvement of existing drying technologies, the innovation of new drying techniques, and the advancement of drying equipment.
