I. Product Introduction
Cast stone is a non-metallic wear and corrosion-resistant material made by processing natural rocks such as diorite and basalt or industrial waste slag with certain additives like amphibole, dolomite, and fluorite, along with crystallizers such as chromite and magnesite, through processes like melting, casting, crystallizing, and annealing. Its products include plates, bricks, pipes, and various non-standard materials, which are collectively referred to as cast stone products.
Cast stone molding processes include solution casting, sintering, and hot direct casting. Currently, cast stone products are widely used in construction materials, chemicals, metallurgy, mining, and other industrial sectors. Cast stone is an ideal substitute for steel, iron, lead, rubber, wood, and other materials in many equipment components, offering high wear resistance and corrosion resistance, which are not achievable by general metals. It also extends equipment lifespan, reduces maintenance time, improves production efficiency, and lowers product costs. Cast stone has been used in corrosion prevention projects for decades and is characterized by its dense structure, low water absorption rate, high compressive strength, and good wear resistance. It exhibits excellent resistance to almost all inorganic and organic acids, alkalis, salts, water, and organic solvents, except for hot phosphoric acid above 30℃ and alkali solutions. Cast stone is a brittle material with high hardness, but its major drawback is its brittleness, making it unsuitable for承受 heavy impacts.
The cast stone products have a low SiO2 content, but due to their high-temperature melting and subsequent crystallization into a protective layer, the chemical corrosion of the medium is reduced to near zero. This is the primary reason for the high acid resistance of cast stone.
Cast stone slabs are categorized into three main types: standard, standard irregular, and special irregular. Standard slabs include rectangular, trapezoidal, hexagonal, fan-shaped, and circular plates; standard irregular slabs consist of curved plates, trough lining slabs, slag trench straight channel lining slabs, etc.; special irregular slabs encompass double-curved panels, conical panels, sieve grating cast stone plates, as well as slag trench bends, variable diameter, junction, Y-split, and T-split plates. All types of equipment linings with cast stone slabs are included in the products mentioned above.
II. Application Scope
1. Power Generation Industry: Coal unloading troughs, coal bins, coal storage silos, dry coal grids, dump cars, slag recovery machines, water treatment, etc.
2. Chemical Industry: Corrosion-resistant floors, pump foundations, etc.
3. Coal Industry: Wear-resistant linings for coal storage silos, gangue storage silos, medium barrels, scraper conveyors, bucket elevators, chutes, and under-screen hoppers.
4. Iron and Steel Industry: Blast furnace mixing bins, sintering bins, feeders, balling machines, etc.
