Section 1: Overview of G Series Variable Speed Screw Pumps
The Variable Speed Drive is an upgrade to the original G-type screw pump, adding a variable speed drive feature. The variable speed screw pump also uses an electric motor to adjust the speed, differing from the electromagnetic variable speed screw pump in that the former is manual, whereas the latter relies on a magnetic field. Both types of screw pumps are equipped with this special motor to regulate the flow and pressure of the pump, achieving the desired standards.
Flow rate is linearly related to speed. Compared to low-speed screw pumps, high-speed screw pumps can increase flow rate and head, but the power consumption is significantly higher. The higher speed accelerates the wear between the rotor and stator, inevitably leading to premature failure of the screw pump. Moreover, the stator-rotor length of high-speed screw pumps is short, prone to wear, thus reducing the service life of the screw pump. By using a reducer or variable-speed drive to decrease the speed, it is more reasonable to maintain the speed below 300 RPM. Compared to high-speed operation, the service life of the screw pump can be extended several times.

III. Comparative Advantages Over Other Pump Types
1. Compared to centrifugal pumps, single screw pumps do not require valves and offer a stable, linear flow rate.
2. Compared to diaphragm pumps, single screw pumps can handle various media containing mixed impurities, gases, solid particles, or fibers, as well as various corrosive substances.
3. Compared to gear pumps, single screw pumps can handle high viscosity substances.
4. Unlike plunger pumps, diaphragm pumps, and gear pumps, screw pumps are suitable for pharmaceutical filling and metering.
