Aramid gasket

Aramid gaskets are sealed products made by bonding high-strength, high-wear-resistant aramid fibers with special materials that offer good lubricity. These gaskets boast excellent lubricity and wear resistance, and their outstanding characteristics are particularly evident in liquid devices where solid and liquid phases are mixed.

Aramid gaskets are used for sealing pumps, valves, pipes, containers, and other equipment in fluid transmission systems.

Aramid, also known as poly(p-phenylene terephthalamide), is a novel high-tech synthetic fiber featuring ultra-high strength, high modulus, resistance to high temperatures, as well as resistance to acids and alkalis, and its lightweight. Its strength is 5 to 6 times that of steel wire, modulus is 2 to 3 times that of steel wire or glass fiber, toughness is twice that of steel wire, and its weight is only about 1/5 of steel wire. At a temperature of 560 degrees, it does not decompose or melt. It has excellent insulation properties and resistance to aging, with a long service life.
