Screw jack, also known as a screw transmission mechanism.It is primarily used to convert rotational motion into linear motion or vice versa. There are those mainly for energy transmission, such as spiral presses and jacks; others for motion transmission, like the feed screws on machine tool tables; and still others for adjusting the relative positions of parts, such as spiral drive mechanisms. Screw lifts are divided into sliding friction and rolling friction types.

A worm screw lifting jack is a compact transmission mechanism with a large transmission ratio and features self-locking under certain conditions. It is easy to install and has a rational design, gaining increasingly widespread applications. By adding an incline gear reducer to the input end of a worm and worm reducer, the multi-stage reducer achieves very low output speeds, offering higher power than a single-stage worm lifting jack, and has less vibration, noise, and energy consumption.

Features of screw jack:

1Ball bearings are housed between the screw thread and nut in the screw mechanism.

2As the screw or nut rotates, the ball bearings roll along the thread raceway, generating rolling friction between the screw and nut during relative motion. To prevent the ball bearings from rolling out of the raceway, return guide devices are installed at both ends of the nut's helical groove.

3They form a recirculating loop with the threaded raceway, allowing the ball bearings to circulate within the nut raceway.

The transmission forms, based on the relative movement combinations of the screw and nut, are categorized into two basic types for screw lifters.

(1)Nut fixing, screw rotation and movement. This type of transmission, where the nut itself acts as a support, eliminates the additional axial movement that could be caused by screw bearing, resulting in a simpler structure and higher transmission accuracy. However, the axial size should not be too long, as it would reduce rigidity. Therefore, it is only suitable for applications with shorter strokes.

(2)Ball screw rotation and nut movement require limiting the nut's rotation, hence the need for a guiding device. Its features include a compact structure, good screw rigidity, and is suitable for applications with larger working strokes.
