A worm gear screw jack is a compact transmission mechanism with a high transmission ratio, featuring an automatic locking function under certain conditions. It is easy to install, well-designed, and has been increasingly used. This jack is a multi-stage reducer, which is created by adding a bevel gear reducer at the input end of the worm gear reducer, providing an exceptionally low output speed. Compared to a single-stage worm gear jack, it offers higher power, less vibration, and lower noise and energy consumption.

Features of screw jack:

1The ball screw and nut feature a rolling thread raceway between them.

2When the screw or nut rotates, the ball bearings roll along the thread groove, creating rolling friction between the screw and nut during relative movement. To prevent the ball bearings from rolling out of the groove, return guide devices are installed at both ends of the nut's helical slots.

3They form a recirculating loop with the threaded raceway, allowing the balls to circulate within the nut's raceway.

The transmission forms, based on the relative motion combination of the screw and nut, generally consist of two basic types for screw jacks.

(1)Nut fastening, screw shaft rotation and movement. This type of transmission is simple in structure due to the nut itself acting as a support, eliminating additional axial movement that could be caused by screw shaft bearings. It achieves high transmission accuracy. However, its axial size should not be too long, as it would then lack rigidity. Therefore, it is only suitable for applications with short travel distances.

(2)The screw shaft rotates, and the nut moves. This type of transmission requires limiting the nut's rotation, thus necessitating a guiding device. Its features include a compact structure, good rigidity of the screw shaft, and suitability for applications with large working travel.
