We all know that screw jack applications are incredibly versatile: lifting, lowering, tilting, or moving. However, in each application, different industry sectors and varying power parameters demand robust and reliable screw jack linear actuators that are easily adaptable to specific applications, expanding into a comprehensive worm gear screw jack linear drive system. For the entire system, our technical engineers must not only be well-prepared on the technical side but also consider the economic viability of the product—while reducing the investment cost of mechanical engineering systems, they must ensure increasingly superior performance. This requirement can be summarized as: the same price, shorter lead times.


Today's main content focuses on a more detailed introduction to the installation of screw jack. Firstly, in terms of direction, it is essential to check the direction of rotation for all worm screw linear actuators, right-angle drive gearboxes, and driving motors before beginning the installation, based on the feed direction of each worm screw linear actuator.


Next is the parallel error issue; a thorough inspection of all parts is mandatory during the installation process. Parallel errors and stress can increase power loss, leading to overheating and premature failure. Before connecting the transmission device, manually rotate each worm screw linear push rod once along its entire length under no load. If the force required for rotation differs and/or the axial marks on the worm screw's outer diameter are not aligned, it indicates a parallel error between the worm screw linear push rod and the additional guide rail. At this point, loosen the corresponding fixed bolts and manually rotate the worm screw linear push rod again. If the force required remains balanced throughout the rotation, some components must be aligned. If the component deviating from the straight line position cannot be found, some more fixed bolts should be loosened to determine the position.


During the trial run phase, a further check must be conducted to ensure the correct operation of the entire system's steering and limit switches before connecting to the drive motor. For N-type (linear screw rod actuator), verify if the screw is lubricated by the lubricant inside the gearbox, and re-lubricate if necessary. For R-type (rotary screw rod actuator), apply a suitable lubricant to the screw rod to provide lubrication for the lifting operation. The trial run should be conducted without load. For worm screw rod actuators with trapezoidal screws, the running time with load cannot exceed 30%.


Operation: The load, speed, and operating conditions of the worm gear screw lift and transmission components must not exceed the set values, even for a short period of time. Otherwise, all warranties are void.
