Under the demands of modern architecture, we require a more comprehensive and superior metal gutter system, which is not only a pursuit of beauty but also a pursuit of life. So, how do we choose a metal gutter system?
The diameter of aluminum alloy downspouts is determined by the roof drainage area. A 2x3 downspout can handle roof drainage for an area of 60 square meters, a 3x4 downspout for 120 square meters, and a 4x5 downspout for 200 square meters; a 5-inch K-type gutter is typically equipped with a 2x3 downspout. The 3x4 downspout is less prone to clogging.
In the past, downspouts were made of PVC pipes, which were convenient to purchase and install, and could be painted on the surface. To enhance quality, we have switched to aluminum alloy downspouts this year, which are not only aesthetically pleasing but also durable.
After the downspout installation, it is also crucial to conduct proper maintenance. Ensure product protection and follow-up maintenance work.
Finished products, rainwater pipes, and channel handling should be handled delicately, avoiding throws, drops, rolls, drags, and harsh collisions, and efforts should be made to minimize contamination. Pipes, ditches, adhesives, and water-stop materials should be stored in well-ventilated warehouses with room temperatures not exceeding 40°C, and at a distance of no less than 1.0m from heat sources.
Measures to ensure safety are in place, establishing a construction support system and implementing responsibility systems for construction positions. Some trades require certification before employment. Regular inspections of on-site facilities are conducted to ensure proper grounding for temporary electrical supplies, full-functioning GFCI circuit breakers, and complete switchgear. Strengthen the protection of "four mouths and five sides," and prohibit unauthorized dismantling. The material storage area must be firm and organized, with stacking height not exceeding 1.6 meters. Workers must fasten safety belts and wear non-slip shoes with rubber soles when using scaffolding. Handheld electric tools must undergo no-load inspections before use, and can only be used after normal operation. All electrical equipment must have the power turned off before disassembly, repair, or relocation.
Civil construction and safeguard measures are implemented to enhance site management and ensure the classification and recycling of leftover materials. After completion of the construction, leftover materials should be collected and organized promptly, with a strict ban on indiscriminate disposal. The site's appearance is managed under a responsibility zone system, with regular inspections and evaluations. The temporary access roads should be paved and washed with water daily to resist dust. Vehicles leaving the site must be cleaned to minimize debris along the way. The construction team leader is responsible for the site's civil discipline in their work area, with accountability assigned to individuals. Construction methods should be arranged reasonably to minimize noise. Waste materials should be stacked in designated areas and then transported off-site by vehicles.
The post-installation maintenance of aluminum alloy downspouts is also quite important, as it's necessary for long-term use. For particularly unique homes, custom metal downspouts can also be provided.
