There are many types of deep hole drills, each with its own specific applications. Today, I will introduce these categories to you one by one.
The first is a gun drill. Initially designed for gun barrel processing, it was named as such. It features only one cutting portion, and during the machining process, cutting fluid is injected from the center of the drill rod and喷射 into the cutting zone through the small hole of the drill bit.
The second is that the single-tube drill, a type of deep-hole drill, utilizes pressure to deliver its cutting fluid, thus making it suitable for deeper depths and with higher production efficiency.
The third is the jet drill. Its principle is similar to the second, but it drills smaller and deeper holes, and also features chip aspiration, making it a more effective deep-hole drilling method currently in use.
The fourth is the DF Deep Hole Drill, which combines the advantages of both BTA Deep Hole Drills and Jet Drills. It is a testament to technological advancement with a wide range of applications and represents the trend for future deep hole drilling development.
Here is a brief introduction to several different types of deep-hole drills, each with its unique strengths and applications. Although they are continuously evolving, they are all indispensable.
