How to Repair a Bearing Heater?

In normal circumstances, bearing heaters are relatively wear-resistant. However, improper assembly, loose protective covers, insufficient lubrication, impure grease, or foreign objects entering the bearing can lead to premature wear. Additionally, the rotation between the shaft neck and the bearing inner ring, as well as between the end cap bore and the bearing outer ring, can also cause wear. The degree of wear on the bearing is determined by the clearance; if the clearance exceeds the allowed wear value, the bearing should be replaced. When replacing the bearing, it is generally recommended to use the same specification. If the required bearing is not available, another specification can be used as a substitute, but the load capacity of the substitute bearing should be the same or similar. If there are slight differences in geometric dimensions, thrust washers or sleeve inserts can be added. If the end cap bore is loose, a steel chisel can be used to make a series of marks around the bearing chamber, using the burrs on the surface to secure the bearing outer ring. This is only a temporary solution and should not be used long-term. If rust is present on the machining surface (especially within the raceway), it can be cleaned with 00 grit sandpaper and then washed in gasoline. If there are more exposed cracks or if the inner and outer rings are broken, the bearing should be replaced. In the event of bearing damage, several bearings of the same type can be disassembled, and the intact parts can be used to assemble a new bearing. For shafts with missing or damaged balls, only the balls need to be replaced, rather than the entire bearing.
