This installation and debugging guide is specifically designed to address how to adjust the center (rotational axis) of the two laser cutting chuck jaws within the required range. 1. Secure two products according to the design specifications on the corresponding workbench as shown in the figure, with the left laser tube cutting chuck named "Tail Chuck" and the right laser tube cutting chuck named "Main Chuck."
2. Tighten the tail card fixing screw, remove the dust cover of the tail card, as shown in the figure, measure the upper line of the rotating part of the tail card head. The magnetic table is fixed on the machine tool bed (not on the tail card mounting surface), with the needle pointing to the position as shown in the figure. Move the entire mounting surface left and right; the upper line value within 0.05mm is acceptable. If it exceeds the required range, adjust it by placing copper sheets under the two points of the chuck mounting bottom plane.
3. Measure the side line of the tailstock head rotation section. The magnetic table is fixed on the machine tool bed (not on the tailstock installation surface), with the needle pointing to the position as shown in the figure. Move the entire installation surface left and right; the side line measurement should be within 0.05mm. If it exceeds the required range, slightly rotate the chuck mounting base to adjust it to the required range. After adjustment, please repeat the steps in point 2 to check the accuracy of the upper line. If there is a deviation, make further adjustments to ensure that the upper and side lines on the tailstock are within 0.05mm of error.
4. Measure the perpendicularity of the main card's back reference plane relative to the center of the tail card rotation.
Measurement Adjustment Method: The magnetic table is fixed on the end face of the tail card, and the dial indicator needle points to the position as shown in the figure (the main card's reference outer plane). Gently rotate the tail card a full circle while observing the dial indicator's reading. The measured difference in the four points across and vertically within a larger range should be within 0.05mm. If the horizontal readings exceed the tolerance, slightly rotate the main card's mounting base to adjust within the required range. If the vertical (up and down) readings exceed the tolerance, adjust by installing copper sheets under the two points of the collet's bottom plane. Repeat this step multiple times to ensure the error value remains within 0.05mm.
5. Measure the coaxial alignment between the center of the main card and the center of the tail card, based on the center of the tail card's rotation, ensuring that the two card disks are at the same height.
Measurement Adjustment Method: Secure the magnetic indicator stand on the end face of the tail card, align the dial indicator needle to the position as shown (inside wall of the main card's datum hole). Gently rotate the tail card a full circle, observing the indicator needle readings. The difference in the four measured points across a large horizontal and vertical range should be within 0.05mm. If the horizontal values of two points exceed the tolerance, slightly adjust the main card's installation base to bring it within the required range. If the vertical (up-down) values of two points exceed the tolerance, use the method of installing four copper pads on the bottom plane of the collet to adjust to the required range. Repeat this step multiple times, ensuring the error remains within 0.05mm. After adjustment, follow the 4th step to recheck accuracy. If out of tolerance, make further adjustments, maintaining the error within 0.05mm.
6. Inspection and adjustment of laser cutting tube chuck centering accuracy.
Adjust the distance between the two collets to be between 500mm and 1000mm, holding the same mandrel, which is 1500mm to 2000mm long with a diameter of 30mm to 50mm. Secure the magnetic table to the machine table, with the dial indicator pointer aimed at the position shown in the illustration (approximately 30mm away from the outer circumference of the mandrel where the collet is located). Rotate the collet and mandrel. The dial indicator should measure a mandrel deflection of around 0.1mm at the position approximately 30mm away from the collet as acceptable (generally, the collet holding accuracy is already adjusted before the collet is shipped. For custom orders, extended clamps, or other special cases, users must adjust the collet accuracy themselves). If out of tolerance, adjust the position of the corresponding collet to meet the precision requirements.
7. Overall accuracy inspection.
Adjust the distance between the two chuck plates to be between 500mm and 1000mm, and hold the same mandrel. Secure the magnetic table on the machine bed, aligning the dial indicator pointer to the position shown in the illustration (approximately 30mm away from the outer diameter of the mandrel at the location of the main chuck's jaws). Move the tail chuck forward and backward to adjust the distance between the tail chuck and the main chuck to be between -100mm (the tail chuck can move into the main chuck's center hole) and about 1000mm. A difference in the dial indicator pointer of around 0.05mm indicates a pass. Use the same method to point the dial indicator to the outer diameter of the mandrel's side, and a reading of around 0.05mm indicates the overall installation is合格. If there are deviations, please carefully check for any missed steps or precision issues in the above steps until the standards are met.
