The origin is from Tang Dynasty poet Liu Xiyi's "Xiang He Ge Ci - Jiangnan Qu Ba Shou": "Boats painted in smoke, with the faint glow of spring sun." It is said that Emperor Qianlong used such a boat during his sixth visit to Jiangnan. The luxurious and classical jiaofang (painted boat) is adorned with buildings resembling ancient Chinese architecture—pavilions, terraces, and pagodas. They stand prominently at the bow, with beautiful women's seats, coiling dragon pillars, colorful paintings... The bas-relief coiling dragons and auspicious clouds on the dragon pillars are layered, each level perfectly placed, with the fine carving detailed enough to count every scale on the dragon's body.
