Sodium CarbonateSodium carbonate, commonly known as soda ash, alkali, or alkali powder, is a white powder and fine-grained crystalline substance. Its aqueous solution is alkaline, and it has a strong hygroscopic property, easily deliquescent in humid air. Sodium carbonate can be categorized into industrial-grade and food-grade, and according to its bulk density, it can be divided into light-duty and heavy-duty varieties. Additionally, there are byproduct alkalis, fallen alkalis, and common alkalis, among others.

Usage

Industrial-grade:

Glass production is a major industrial consumer of soda ash, widely used in float glass, picture tube glass shells, optical glass, etc., and can also act as a clarifier to remove bubbles from the glass melt.
