Horizontal Screw Conveyer Blenders are capable of mixing two or more materials, offering a wide range of applications. They can mix powders with powders and powders with liquids. They are also suitable for materials with significantly different densities and large particle sizes, ensuring good uniformity. They can achieve uniform mixing for a 1:10000 ratio of materials, particularly highlighting their advantages when mixing materials with different densities. The question arises, how should materials with vastly different densities be mixed in a specific order?
Material properties vary, and the feeding process differs accordingly. In the preparation of additive premixes, the mixing method should gradually expand from trace mixing to small mixing, then to medium mixing, and finally to large mixing. The correct sequence for adding materials should be: first add or mostly add the components with a larger ratio, followed by the addition of small and trace amounts on top of them. Generally, larger particle-sized components are added to the mixer first, followed by smaller particle-sized components. When there is a significant difference in the specific gravity of materials, it is usually best to add the material with a lower specific gravity first, then the one with a higher specific gravity. Adding materials to 6-8 degrees on a horizontal helical blade mixer results in excellent mixing.
