June 30th news, the "15th Global Food Cold Chain Conference 2023," co-hosted by the China Federation of Logistics & Purchasing and the Global Cold Chain Alliance, and organized by the Cold Chain Logistics专业委员会 of the China Federation of Logistics & Purchasing, was held in Shenyang from June 28th to 30th, 2023. At the conference, the list of the top 100 cold chain logistics companies in China for 2022 was released.
According to the list, SF Express once again takes the top spot, followed by Chengdu Yunliu Technology Co., Ltd. in second place and JD Logistics in third. Rongqing Logistics, Luohe Shuanghui Logistics, Shanghai Zhengming Modern Logistics, Chuansheng Supply Chain, Vanke Logistics, Shanghai Guangming Lingxian Logistics, and Nanjing Weigang Dairy rank from 4th to 10th. In addition to the aforementioned companies, Sinotrans冷链, Yalian, Kuaixingxian, Xiaomada Mass, and others are also on the list.
Data shows that SF Express, ranked first, is the logistics company that initially established a national cold chain network in China. In 2022, SF Express's cold chain logistics and medical business achieved a pre-tax revenue of 8.61 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 10.4%. SF Express also launched the "Large Cold Storage Express" and "Large Cold Storage Delivery to Port" services in 2022.
According to public data, the global cold chain logistics market reached $279.48 billion in 2022, and it is projected to grow to approximately $801.26 billion by 2030. The Asia-Pacific region holds a leading position in the global cold chain logistics market, with a compound annual growth rate of over 10% expected for the market from 2022 to 2027. However, the global economic downturn and the slower-than-expected economic recovery have significantly impacted short-term global cold chain development, as evidenced by major layoffs at the U.S.-based CH.Robinon (Robinson) and the collapse of the Australian large-scale cold chain transportation company Scott's (Scott). In 2023, the cold chain logistics industry continues to face a dual challenge of risks and opportunities.
