One, Roof Connection Point Solution
To ensure effective drainage from the eaves and roof overhangs, carry out maintenance on the lower eave boards together. The ideal choice for the overhang is a metal waterproofing board or corrosion-resistant coating for the fascia board. Extend the waterproofing board 100mm inward from the edge of the roof to cover the overhang, and before installing the roof tiles, securely fasten the metal waterproofing board as shown in the diagram to the overhang and steel purlins.
2. Water shield at the junction of the roof and wall: Custom-made water shield panels are produced on-site using metal sheets or corrosion-resistant coating boards, with one end fixed permanently to the wall and the other end secured to the roof tiles.
3. Water Tank, Chimney Flashing: The water tank and chimney must intersect at four points with the roof tiles. They can be divided into front face flashing and curved flashing. Front face flashing refers to the roof tiles starting on the upward slope of the building, where metal sheets can be custom-fabricated into flashing panels according to on-site limitations. These are then securely fastened below the building's curve at the bottom and above the steel joists under the roof tiles. Front face under flashing refers to the roof tiles starting on the downward slope of the building, where metal sheets can be custom-fabricated into flashing panels. These are secured below the roof tiles at the top and below the building's curve at the bottom. Curved flashing refers to the roof tiles at the intersection of the two sides' sloping points on the building, where metal sheets can be custom-fabricated into flashing panels. These are fastened below the building's curve at the bottom and on the surface of the tiles above.
4. The panoramic skylight water seal solution involves first securing the sides and ascending slope panels of the panoramic skylight in place on the roof, prior to the installation of the roof tiles. Once the roof tile equipment along the downhill path of the panoramic skylight is completed, a metal drainage panel from the manufacturer is then placed over the tiles.
5. Drainage Pipeline Solution Near Evil Tiger Window: To ensure effective metabolism of precipitation above the Evil Tiger Window, drainage outlets should be set on both sides of the window. The construction of equipment and engineering projects follows the solution method of the back wall, water storage tank, and chimney coping.
Two, solar power generation equipment and moisture-proof attic with skylight roofs for solar power generation. Under normal circumstances, the construction work is coordinated based on the current state of the roof and the overall planning of the building project. Common methods for solar power generation equipment include pre-burying service platforms for roof-mounted equipment and creating support frames for sloped roofs. The pre-buried service platform involves embedding a sufficient width of solar power generation equipment on one side of the roof, with other positions covered by slope roofs. For solar power generation on sloped roofs, support frames are created above the slope. Taking the steel structure steel truss as an example: the photovoltaic brackets must be welded to the four upright rods of the load-bearing main beams on the roof tiles, followed by welding two parallel load-bearing beams above the four upright rods. The total width of the two load-bearing beams is determined by the total width of the solar power generation equipment, and the top of the two load-bearing beams must remain level to facilitate the equipment. The base of the four upright rods of the roof tiles is treated accordingly.
Four: Lightning Rod Grounding Devices and Moisture Protection - The grounding method for lightning rods should be in accordance with the overall planning of the construction project and communicated to the construction team. Common grounding device equipment methods are shown in the figure below, and moisture protection solutions must be implemented for the lightning protection equipment on the roof tiles.
Section 3: Construction Site Safety and Completion Cleanup
1. During slope surface construction, the team primarily checks the stability and firmness of the roof steel purlins. The synthetic resin tiles should be laid in a slope direction, with no more than 3 tiles per stack. They advise against placing materials on unsecured steel purlins to prevent them from falling or being broken by strong winds.
2. Non-slip ladders must be used during the construction on sloping roofs, and the construction team must prioritize safety; construction activities should be discouraged during rainy, snowy weather, and in strong winds of six levels or above.
After the roof tile equipment is completed, the roof must be swept clean of fine debris, check for any damaged roof tiles, and clean the roof. If there are incorrectly drilled holes, they can be sealed with epoxy resin glue.
