Installation Instructions for Stainless Steel Elbows
Prior to installation, it is essential to meticulously verify the various standards of the stainless steel elbows, ensuring the bore size meets the usage requirements. Eliminate any defects caused during transportation, clean the stainless steel elbows, and prepare for installation. All preparations are complete.
During installation, stainless steel elbows can be directly mounted on the pipeline according to the connection method and installed at the designated location. Generally, they can be installed at any position on the pipeline, but must facilitate operational maintenance. Note that the flow direction of the medium in the stainless steel elbow should be upward from below the swing valve, and the stainless steel elbow can only be installed horizontally. Pay attention to the sealing during installation to prevent leakage and ensure the normal operation of the pipeline.
3. The bolts of the gasket on the stainless steel elbow valve should be tightened uniformly; they should not be twisted off-center to avoid damaging the valve stem's movement or causing a leak.
4. When using ball valves, stop valves, and gate valves for stainless steel elbows, they should only be fully opened or fully closed; they are not to be used for regulating flow to prevent erosion of the sealing surfaces and to slow down wear. Both gate valves and threaded stop valves are equipped with reverse-sealing devices. By turning the handwheel to the top position and tightening it, leakage from the packing can be prevented.
