Steel-lining plastic storage tanks, also known as turtle shell-lined storage tanks (turtle shell lining – steel, mesh, plastic integrated), are the essence of the steel-plastic composite product series. They are produced using a special rotational molding process. This involves welding a steel mesh (turtle shell) to the surface of the steel body, and then using pure polyethylene (linear low-density polyethylene LLDPE, high-density polyethylene HDPE) as the raw material, to integrate the steel plate, steel mesh (turtle shell), and polyethylene into a single unit through rotational molding. The polyethylene is firmly bonded to the steel surface. The product boasts advantages such as seamless construction, non-leakage, non-toxicity, resistance to aging and impact, corrosion resistance, long lifespan, and compliance with hygiene standards. It overcomes the shortcomings of full plastic rotational molding storage tanks, such as poor rigidity, low pressure resistance, and temperature sensitivity. The inner lining surface is flat, smooth, and strong, offering superior corrosion resistance, non-leakage, non-peeling, wear resistance, pressure resistance, high-temperature resistance, and longer lifespan compared to traditional steel-lined plastic board storage tanks, steel-lined rubber storage tanks, and steel-lined fiberglass storage tanks. It is also more cost-effective than similarly-sized traditional storage tanks, making it an ideal container for storing corrosive liquids. Therefore, it is an extremely excellent corrosion-resistant storage tank.

2. Application Scope

a. Medium: Pure water, liquid food, acids, bases, salts, and some organic solvents (resistant to certain concentrations of hydrochloric acid, phosphoric acid, hydrofluoric acid, etc.).

b. Temperature Resistance: -65℃ to 98℃

c. Pressure Resistance: Positive and negative pressure (including vacuum), as determined by the pressure design of the steel body.

The overall lining is formed in one piece, seamless, sturdy and durable, hygienic and clean, resistant to various acids and alkalis [resistant to any concentration of hydrofluoric acid, hydrochloric acid, phosphoric acid, etc.].

Steel-plastic lined storage tanks are available in various series, including vertical tanks (flat bottom, conical bottom) and horizontal tanks. Customization is possible according to specific requirements. Typically, the specifications for vertical steel-plastic lined tanks, steel-plastic composite vertical tanks, and tortoise shell lined tanks range from 1 cubic meter to about 150 cubic meters.
