Steel-plastic lined storage tanks, also known as turtle shell lined tanks (turtle shell lining – steel, mesh, plastic combined), are the essence of the steel-plastic composite product series. They are produced using a special rotational molding process. This involves welding a steel mesh (turtle shell) onto the surface of the steel body, and then using pure polyethylene (linear low-density polyethylene LLDPE, high-density polyethylene HDPE) as the raw material. The steel plate, steel mesh (turtle shell), and polyethylene are integrated into a single unit through rotational molding. The polyethylene is firmly adhered to the surface of the steel body. The product boasts features such as seamless joints, no leakage, non-toxicity, resistance to aging and impact, corrosion resistance, long lifespan, and compliance with hygiene standards. It overcomes the shortcomings of all-plastic rotational molding tanks, such as poor rigidity and strength, low pressure resistance, and temperature sensitivity. The inner lining of the product is flat, smooth, and sturdy. Compared to traditional steel-lined plastic board tanks, steel-lined rubber storage tanks, and steel-lined fiberglass storage tanks, it offers superior corrosion resistance, no leakage, non-peeling, wear resistance, pressure resistance, high-temperature resistance, and a longer lifespan. Its price is lower than that of tanks of the same specification, making it an ideal container for storing corrosive liquids. Therefore, it is an extremely excellent corrosion-resistant storage tank.

2. Application Scope

a. Medium: Pure water, liquid food, acids, alkalis, salts, and some organic solvents (resistant to certain concentrations of hydrochloric acid, phosphoric acid, hydrofluoric acid, etc.).

b. Temperature Resistance: -65℃ to 98℃

c. Pressure Resistance: Positive and negative pressure (including vacuum) based on the designed pressure of the steel body.

Generally, the specifications for vertical steel-plastic lined tanks, steel-plastic composite vertical tanks, and tortoise shell lined tanks range from approximately 1 cubic meter to around 150 cubic meters.
