Steaming method
To begin, a steaming tank must be constructed. Typically, the steaming tank should be 2.5 meters wide, 4 meters long, and 3 meters deep. The size can also be adjusted according to production volume and mold size. Additionally, a boiler is needed to supply steam to the tank. The tank must be well-sealed, and once constructed, it can be used. After the cement pipe is ready, it can be hung into the steaming tank for curing. Generally, it takes 2.5 to 3.5 hours of curing for the cement pipe to solidify. The higher the temperature, the shorter the curing time, as the curing time and steam temperature are inversely proportional. Higher temperatures are preferable.
Natural Care
Natural curing involves no need for a steam curing pond. After the concrete pipes are completed, the pipes and molds are placed outdoors for natural curing. Generally, the concrete pipes require a period of time for outdoor curing after completion, and the molds can be opened the next day. After demolding, an additional 4-6 days of natural curing are needed, with a dedicated person spraying the pipes with water three times a day, typically in the morning, noon, and afternoon. The purpose of spraying water is to maintain the moisture of the concrete pipes to allow the concrete to slowly set. The frequency of watering can be adjusted according to weather conditions and humidity levels. However, natural curing requires more molds.
