Ball valves, stop valves, and gate valves with plastic pipe plugs can only be fully open or fully closed; they are not to be used for flow regulation to prevent erosion of the sealing surface and accelerated wear. Gate valves and upper threaded stop valves are equipped with reverse sealing devices. By turning the handwheel to the upper position and tightening it, leakage of the packing medium can be prevented.

4. Use the handwheel to plug plastic tubes. Do not rely on levers or anything else to prevent damage to valve components. Clockwise rotation of the handwheel closes it, counter-clockwise opens it.
