Important Precautions for Grate Usage
1. When igniting normally, ensure the induced draft fan is on before opening the fire observation door. During coal feeding, dump the coal through the coal feed door onto the upper grate. Maintain a coal layer thickness of 15 to 20 centimeters. If the upper part of the coal bed is already on fire, add coal to smother the burning portion.
2. Strictly prohibit adding coal to the furnace grate to prevent the emission of black smoke. When there is a significant accumulation of burning coal on the lower grate and the operation needs to continue, clear away the burnt ash and slag from the lower grate and retain the fire base.
3. Origin of the coal layer in the lower grate: Part of it falls freely through the gaps of the upper grate, and part is dropped by the hooks to stabilize the combustion of the lower grate. When the fire on the lower grate is slightly weak, a poker can be used to push the red coal from the upper grate down through the gaps of the grate pipes, ensuring stable combustion of the fire layer in the lower grate.
4. When using chain grate boilers to burn sludge coal, it should be mixed with 10-15% water while the fire is established to prevent spillage. The rate of burning and spillage varies with different types of coal. Pay attention to adjusting ventilation and coal feeding patterns.
