Before use, clean the surface of the part to be blackened of any oil and oxidation scales (oxidation scales can be removed by acid washing or sandpaper polishing), then rinse the metal surface with clean water. Next, apply the original liquid directly to the metal surface using a brush or soft cloth. If necessary, repeat the application; typically, a uniform, deep black finish with strong adhesion and excellent corrosion resistance can be achieved in about ten seconds. After application, oil or varnish should be applied to the blackened film to achieve a glossy finish and enhance corrosion resistance.
Brush-on room temperature rapid blackening liquid is especially suitable for large or extra-long workpieces that are not convenient for soaking in blackening solutions, as well as for partial blackening or blackening repairs on workpieces.
