Diesel generator sets are power generation equipment primarily fueled by diesel, powered by diesel engines to drive generators (also known as dynamos) to produce electricity, converting kinetic energy into electrical and thermal energy. The complete diesel generator set is mainly divided into three parts:

To meet different regional requirements, gensets are categorized as fixed and mobile trailer-mounted units. To reduce noise emissions and minimize disruption to people's work and life, designers have created gensets with soundproof enclosures—essentially a metal box with sound-absorbing materials inside to shield the genset. The box is equipped with doors for easy maintenance and control access. The soundproof enclosure not only reduces noise but can also be placed outdoors, acting like a shed to protect against sun and rain, alleviating the hassle of finding a space for a机房. Diesel gensets are divided into standard and backup units, with power ratings corresponding to standard and backup power. The standard power rating of each genset is typically 80% of the backup power rating. For regular use, rely on the national grid; use a backup diesel genset only when power outages occur. For long-term operation, opt for a standard diesel genset, which can run for over 300 days a year with regular maintenance. The relationship between standard and backup power is as follows: if a user needs a 100KW diesel genset, the standard power rating of the backup 100KW genset would be 100KW * 80% = 80KW. This means the standard power rating of a 100KW backup genset is 80KW. If a soundproof enclosure is added to the diesel genset, the power output will typically decrease by around 10%. Therefore, when purchasing a diesel genset, consider the power reduction due to the soundproof enclosure.
