A special paper-based cooling water curtain, meticulously crafted through high-temperature bonding and drying processes, is an air-filtering and purification device designed to cool the air. When used in conjunction with a negative pressure fan, the cooling water curtain is installed at the intake vent, allowing clean, cool air to enter the room. The working principle involves water flowing downwards under gravity, forming a film on the wavy fiber surface of the water curtain. As fast-moving air passes through the curtain, the water absorbs heat from the air and evaporates, carrying away a significant amount of latent heat, thereby cooling the air that passes through the cooling water curtain. However, due to the water's ability to filter out dust from the air, frequent blockages can occur during use.
This article is a summary of the rapid troubleshooting steps for cooling water curtain blockage issues, compiled based on the author's personal experience in handling such a fault.
First, shut off the water supply system for the cooling curtain, first disconnect the cooling curtain's water pump, then close and turn off the water supply valve for the cooling curtain to prevent electrical accidents and water waste during the process of clearing the cooling curtain blockage.
Cleaning the circulating water tank for the cooling wet curtain, which serves as a transfer station for the circulating water for the cooling curtain, is often a major cause of blockages. As the cooling curtain filters and purifies the air of dust, the filtered dust primarily settles at the bottom of the tank. Over time, this accumulated dust flows with the circulating water supply system to the cooling curtain paper, eventually causing blockages.
Thoroughly clean the dust and debris clogging the water curtain paper. Use a high-pressure vacuum cleaner to suction dust and debris from the surface and holes of the water curtain paper, while simultaneously using an air pump to blow air outward from the inside of the water curtain to enhance the cleaning effect.
The clog in the water supply pipeline has been cleared. The cooling water curtain pipeline has many small spray holes that are prone to clogs. Using a long, slender pipeline cleaning brush dipped in cleaning solution, the pipeline was repeatedly swept and cleaned to ensure a clear water supply. After cleaning the water curtain paper and reservoir, the water was circulated through the curtain system using clean water, and then air-dried for use, restoring the transparency of the water curtain.
Five, upon starting the water supply system for the cooling water curtain and the power supply system for the pump, it was found that the pump was not supplying water and the curtain was not wet. In this case, air in the water supply pump needs to be drained to resolve the fault and restore normal water supply. After completing these steps, the issue of the cooling water curtain being blocked is resolved.
